August Spotlight

We are so happy to have Cheryl and her family in our ward and she kindly agreed to be our August Spotlight. A big thank you to Cheryl for letting us get to know her
better!
She was born in Miami, AZ and grew up in Roosevelt and Globe/Miami, AZ area. She has 1 brother and 2 sisters and Cheryl is the 2ND oldest. Her and her husband were married in 1987 and they have 2 beautiful little girls, Ayla Ann and Ethel Ann. Cheryl and her husband met at his pool in Globe, she was good friends with his niece and decided they should meet. Later they all went to a George Straight concert. In 1988 they lived in Alabama near Fort Rucker for her husband's training. May 1988, they moved to Berlin Germany for his first duty station. Cheryl says this was the most exciting place they ever lived because it is so different there and they had the opportunity to be there when the Wall fell. Cheryl says even with all the excitement of a new place, the whole time they were there, they missed their families. After that, they moved back to Globe and lived there until 2001 when they moved to Show Low. They moved to Eagar in 2005 to be closer to her husband's work. Cheryl's favorite color is blue and favorite food is chocolate. She likes to sew, read, quilt, work in the yard and visit with family. Cheryl served in the nursery in Berlin and has served in the Primary presidency in Show Low and is now in the nursery again. She loves serving in the nursery the best because the kids are so young and sweet. Cheryl's favorite prophet is President Hinckley.
