March Call to Action

March Visiting Teaching Message
“Strengthening Faith in God the Father and Jesus Christ through Personal Scripture Study”Ensign, March 2010

When the Relief Society was organized by the Prophet Joseph Smith on March 17, 1842, he read from the Doctrine and Covenants (now section 25): “Expound scriptures- I say unto you, that this is my voice unto all” (see verses 7, 16). As you study the March Visiting Teaching Message, ponder this question:
What personal goal would help me improve my daily scripture study?

What are a visiting teacher’s responsibilities? 1)Come to know and love your sisters, 2)Minister through regular visits, 3)Learn of needs and offer appropriate assistance, 4)Look for specific ways to help 5)Share and testify of gospel.

Who In the World is....

K A R A
B E T H
M E R R I L L
was born in Lafayette Indiana and grew up in Central, AZ. She is the oldest in her family of 5 brothers and one little bonus 4 year old sister (those who see them together think Kara is her mommy). Kara and Kyler have a little 4 month old boy, Braxten. Some of her favorite things include the color sage green, Mexican food, making crafts, going on dates, decorating, cooking, sports and blogging. One of her most embarrassing moments happened her Junior year in HS. During a cross country meet she took a wrong turn & spent 2 hours lost on the course until they found her. Kara adds; “the next day at the school assembly, they gave me a compass as a joke. I was pretty embarrassed!” Something about Kara no one would know is a few years ago, she was in the Miss Graham County pageant. As a dream, she would someday like to go to Uruguay where Kyler served his mission. She and Kyler met at EA playing volleyball. Kyler’s job brought them to Round Valley 2 months ago. Kara’s favorite Latter-day prophet is President Gordon B. Hinkely because, “he was such a cute prophet who always had a good joke up his sleeve and always treated his wife dearly.”

Kara, Kyler and Braxten will only be in our ward a few more months, but we still want to welcome them and are so glad you are in our ward!
